In fact, I’m writing this blog post from my room in The Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, where I’m attending the 2015 Illinois Governor’s Conference on Travel & Tourism.
At this conference, like so many others that my colleagues and I have attended lately, the hot topic is mobile. From State Governor’s Conferences to regional and national events, everyone is talking about how DMOs can best use mobile in their marketing strategy. In fact, in their Megatrends Defining Travel in 2015, Skift called mobile the #1 theme emerging in travel.
It’s a massive topic, and I have yet to meet a tourism marketer or CVB Director who doesn’t have a lot of questions about the best way to leverage mobile.
