(February 3, 2015) – I attend a lot of conferences.

In fact, I’m writing this blog post from my room in The Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, where I’m attending the 2015 Illinois Governor’s Conference on Travel & Tourism.

At this conference, like so many others that my colleagues and I have attended lately, the hot topic is mobile. From State Governor’s Conferences to regional and national events, everyone is talking about how DMOs can best use mobile in their marketing strategy. In fact, in their Megatrends Defining Travel in 2015, Skift called mobile the #1 theme emerging in travel.

It’s a massive topic, and I have yet to meet a tourism marketer or CVB Director who doesn’t have a lot of questions about the best way to leverage mobile.

We’ve just released a new guide to help. The Destination Marketers Guide to Mobile is a brief but comprehensive guide that answers the mobile questions we hear most often. Whether you’re just looking to get started in mobile or you’d like to build on progress you’ve already made, this guide will help you make sense of the trends, terms and strategies that are essential to mobile success.

If you aren’t completely confident that your destination is doing everything right in mobile, take the time to read this guide. It covers topics ranging from the difference between apps and sites to the way third-party apps affect your brand, and a whole lot in between.

After you do, feel free to schedule a strategy session with us. We’d love to talk in-depth about your destination’s mobile strategy.
