(Febuary 3, 2015) We’re thrilled to announce that our CEO and Founder, Santiago Jaramillo, has been named one of Indianapolis Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” for 2015! The award recognizes Indy professionals under the age of 40 for service in their jobs and in the community.
At the age of 25, Santiago is the youngest member of his Forty Under 40 class, which includes professionals in various fields from around the city of Indianapolis. Among his classmates are Carlie Irsay-Gordon, co-owner of the Indianapolis Colts , IndyCar driver Ed Carpenter, and Josh Kaufman, singer and winner of Season 6 of NBC’s The Voice.
In his award profile, Santiago highlights the impact of mobile, Bluebridge’s success, and the relationships he’s made with his team.
“I love the people side and vision side of the company, and my partners take the sides that they are really great at. I offload to them, and I get to be in my sweet spot,” he said.
Santiago has always had a knack for business and leadership. At just eight years old, Santiago started his first business in his hometown of Cali, Columbia, where he delivered bottled water to his neighbors’ doors for a small fee. After immigrating to the United States with his family a few years later, he went on to start another business—a series of summer camps designed to foster a passion for playing music in elementary and middle schoolers.
Then, from his dorm room at Indiana Wesleyan University, he set out to create a company that helped organizations connect with their audiences in the mobile space. From that idea, Bluebridge was born.
We couldn’t be more excited that our hard-working leader has been given this prestigious award. Congratulations, Santiago!
